More than 16.3 lakh voters have been found untraceable during Karnataka’s ongoing voter list revision exercise, Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukumar said. The verification process will continue till August 8, with 99.84% of door-to-door digital enumeration completed. Karnataka currently has over 5.54 crore registered voters, with 4.43 crore records digitally confirmed. Officials said 66.64 lakh voters had shifted permanently, while 16.30 lakh were reported deceased. Another 1.11 crore records remain under verification. Bengaluru accounted for the highest share of unverified records. Officials urged voters to submit forms promptly to ensure their names remain in the revised electoral roll.
