Dr. Ananda Kumar, National Coordinator of the AICC Scheduled Caste Department and Maharashtra In-charge, said the youth protest at Jantar Mantar reflects growing frustration among students and young citizens across India.
He said the movement highlights concerns about education, employment and democratic rights while urging the Central Government to listen carefully and respond through dialogue instead of suppressing voices.
Speaking to media, Kumar demanded that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan take responsibility for examination controversies and restore confidence among students and parents. He alleged that repeated issues in national exams have created uncertainty for millions of aspirants seeking fair opportunities. He also criticised police action against peaceful protesters and said democratic rights must be protected.
Kumar praised Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi for supporting students and raising their concerns. He said the issues are not limited to examinations but are connected with the future of the nation and its youth. He urged authorities to ensure transparency accountability and meaningful discussions with student representatives.
The Congress leader urged the government to protect peaceful protesters and create a reliable examination system without delays or confusion. He warned that ignoring student concerns could increase public dissatisfaction and affect trust in democratic institutions. He appealed for immediate steps to address youth issues and maintain constitutional values.
The government must work with students and provide solutions through fair policies and open communication. Such efforts can help rebuild confidence among young people and ensure that future generations receive better opportunities in education and employment while strengthening India’s democratic system with lasting progress.
