HDFC Bank posts strong first quarter business growth

HDFC Bank reported strong growth in deposits and advances during the first quarter of FY27. Total deposits reached Rs 31.70 lakh crore, rising 14.7 percent from last year, while advances increased 15.4 percent to Rs 30.61 lakh crore. Assets under management also grew 12.4 percent to Rs 31.27 lakh crore. The bank recently appointed Rajiv Kumar as part-time chairman after leadership changes. Despite governance discussions, the latest business update reflected steady financial performance. HDFC Bank shares closed at Rs 2,001.50 on Friday, showing investor confidence as the bank continued its growth momentum during the quarter.
