India’s finest culinary professionals put their technical skills on display at the second National Skill Olympiad. Hosted by the Marine Products Export Development Authority during Seafood Expo Bharat 2026, the event crowned ten elite finalists selected from 2,500 trained workers. Competitors crafted high-demand international dishes like Nobashi shrimp and breaded squid rings. The champion secured a grand prize of 100,000 rupees. Officials emphasized that this competition strengthens India’s global seafood trade by highlighting food safety, precision, and workforce excellence. Award-winning dishes were later showcased for live tasting sessions with international buyers.
