An atmosphere of concern gripped court complexes in Karnataka after multiple district courts received bomb threat emails, prompting immediate security responses and extensive searches by police and bomb disposal teams. Authorities later confirmed that no explosives were found, and the threats were declared hoaxes.

The District and Sessions Court in Chamarajanagar received its third bomb threat email within a week, raising fresh security concerns among court staff, lawyers, and visitors. According to officials, the first two emails were sent from the same email address, while the latest message originated from a different address. Police, along with bomb detection and disposal squads and sniffer dog units, conducted a thorough inspection of the court premises. No suspicious objects or explosive materials were found during the search.

The Mangaluru District Court Complex also received a bomb threat email, triggering a swift security response. Authorities deployed bomb disposal experts and dog squads to examine the premises. After an extensive search, officials confirmed that the threat was a hoax, allowing normal court activities to resume.

Similarly, the Haveri court received a bomb threat email on Monday. Police immediately initiated precautionary measures and carried out a comprehensive inspection with the assistance of specialised teams. The search concluded without the discovery of any explosives or suspicious materials.

The series of bomb threats targeting courts in different districts has prompted heightened vigilance across Karnataka. Police have launched investigations to identify those responsible for sending the emails and are analysing digital evidence to trace their origin.

Officials have appealed to the public to remain calm, assuring that every threat is being treated with utmost seriousness to ensure the safety of judicial institutions, court staff, lawyers, litigants, and visitors. Security has been intensified at court complexes across the affected districts as investigations continue.
