Two lorries caught fire after a collision near M.K. Hubballi town on the Pune–Bengaluru highway. A milk tanker reportedly hit a truck carrying maize bags, triggering a blaze that engulfed both vehicles. Drivers managed to escape without injuries, officials said. Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot and struggled to bring the flames under control. The accident led to temporary disruption of traffic on the busy highway stretch. Police from Kittur station have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the collision and subsequent fire incident.
