Ashok alleged pipeline delays for Dabaspet industrial water supply due to political interference, warning investors shifting to Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu

H.N. Ashok has criticised former MLA A. Manjunath for allegedly obstructing irrigation development works in Magadi and said such actions are harming investment and growth in Karnataka.
He said during a programme at Balenahalli Eligenahalli village that a one crore rupee project under Cauvery Irrigation Corporation for concrete road and drainage works is important for local development.
Ashok alleged that pipeline works to supply water to Dabaspet industrial area have been delayed due to political interference and said investors are shifting to Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
He also said development of Bidadi and Dabaspet industrial areas requires basic facilities like water electricity and roads and urged leaders to support infrastructure projects without political obstruction.
Supporters of local leadership including J P Chandregowda said ongoing works under Adarsh Gram Yojana and new concrete road projects are improving village connectivity under MLA H C Balakrishna efforts.
We request cooperation between political leaders and administration to ensure timely completion of irrigation and road works for the benefit of farmers and industrial growth in the region.
Officials said irrigation projects are essential for farmers and long pending infrastructure issues should be resolved through dialogue and cooperation between elected representatives and departments.
Local residents said political disputes are affecting development works and requested leaders to focus on public welfare rather than conflicts so that roads irrigation canals and industrial infrastructure projects can be completed on time which will improve agriculture employment opportunities and overall economic growth in Magadi taluk and surrounding regions for better future. Authorities also emphasised timely completion and strict monitoring of ongoing works across the taluk.
