Public servants beat stars in charity cricket match

MUMBAI

A friendly cricket match under the Fit India Movement saw GST and Customs Amateur Team defeat Mumbai Heroes by 39 runs at the Air India Ground, Vakola. The event was organised by the Sports Authority of India to promote fitness and healthy living. GST and Customs scored 170/5, led by Akhilesh Kumar’s 57 runs. In reply, Mumbai Heroes, featuring Suniel Shetty and others, were restricted to 131/9 despite a fighting 42 from Navdeep Tomar. Ajit Dan took three wickets and was named Man of the Match in the community-driven sporting event.
