A fire incident was reported at an apartment near Nanthoor Junction in Mangaluru. Residents noticed smoke and alerted the authorities immediately. Personnel from Kadri fire station rushed to the location and brought the blaze under control. The fire was extinguished successfully after a short operation. Several household items kept in the affected room were damaged in the incident. Officials are yet to ascertain the total extent of the loss caused. No casualties were reported in the fire. Fire department officials advised residents to follow safety precautions and ensure electrical appliances are switched off when not in use to prevent similar incidents in the future across residential areas.
