Ballari
Residents of Yashwantnagar and Sandur in Ballari district have raised strong concerns over the random parking of mining trucks on the main road connecting Kudligi Road to Sandur. Locals say trucks are parked in rows on both sides and sometimes even in the middle of the road, causing serious traffic problems for daily commuters.
This route is heavily used by school and college students, workers, farmers, traders, and other members of the public. Due to the increasing number of mining vehicles, movement has become slow and unsafe. Two-wheeler riders are facing major difficulty as thick dust from truck movement reduces visibility and increases risk of accidents. Many people are now avoiding travel unless absolutely necessary.
Bus passengers are also affected, with long traffic jams causing delays, especially during morning and evening peak hours. In some cases, the road becomes almost fully blocked, creating major inconvenience for commuters.
Local residents and business people say they have repeatedly informed authorities, but no permanent solution has been taken so far. They have questioned whether the police and administration are ignoring the issue despite complaints.
The public has demanded proper parking space for mining trucks, strict action against rule violators, and immediate steps to ease traffic flow. They have also warned of protests, including road blockades, if the problem continues. Authorities are urged to act quickly to ensure road safety and smooth movement of traffic in the area.
