A man from Jammu and Kashmir was lured into a fake overseas job offer and trafficked to Cambodia, prompting the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in Srinagar to register a case. The victim was promised a job as a computer operator with a high salary by an unauthorized consultancy from Pattan. After paying a large sum and covering travel expenses, he was received in Cambodia, only to be forced into fraudulent online work. Realizing the deception, he reported the incident. The EOW has initiated an investigation, with further inquiries underway.
