A robbery was reported near Banglagudde in Gurupura where miscreants allegedly threw chilli powder into the eyes of a scooter rider and looted him. The victim, who was travelling on a scooter, was targeted suddenly, leaving him temporarily blinded. Taking advantage of the situation, the attackers snatched cash and other valuables from him before fleeing the spot. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and trace the accused. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined for clues. The injured rider has received medical treatment for irritation and minor eye injuries. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
