HYDERABAD
Director Ritesh Rana is back with a fresh cinematic experiment, but he has a specific message for his fans, expect the unexpected. While promoting his latest project, Jetlee, Rana clarified that audiences should not look for the same brand of humor found in his previous hit, Mathu Vadhalara. Instead, the comedy in this new venture is deeply rooted in the unique personality of the main character.
Described as a “comedy-thriller,” the film’s plot kicks off with a bizarre and gripping scene. The hero wakes up in a washroom only to discover he has been attacked with a pen pierced into his stomach. This mysterious opening sets the stage for a high-stakes puzzle, who wanted him dead and why? Rana explained that while the core mystery remains a serious thriller, the humor naturally flows from how the protagonist reacts to these chaotic situations, especially with the addition of actor Satya’s signature style.
The film features an exciting cast, including Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha as the female lead. Joining her are popular faces like Vennela Kishore, Viva Harsha, and Kabir Duhan Singh. Produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the Clap Entertainment banner, the movie is presented by the renowned Mythri Movie Makers.
By moving away from slapstick and focusing on character-driven wit, Jetlee promises a clever ride for the audience. Movie lovers are eager to see if this blend of mystery and organic comedy will create another cult favorite.
