During the heated discussion in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav accused the administration led by Samrat Choudhary of pushing the state into a severe financial crisis. He claimed that Bihar is burdened with a debt of nearly Rs 4 lakh crore and that the state treasury is under immense pressure, raising doubts about the government’s ability to fund development projects.

Tejashwi further alleged that even basic financial obligations, such as pension payments, are facing constraints, indicating deeper structural issues in governance. He questioned how the government could promise growth and infrastructure development when, according to him, existing commitments are already difficult to meet.

Taking aim at the ruling alliance, he dismissed the popular political slogan associated with Nitish Kumar as misleading. He argued that the lack of a clearly declared chief ministerial candidate by the Bharatiya Janata Party has contributed to uncertainty and weakened governance in the state.

Describing Bihar as a political laboratory, Tejashwi pointed to frequent changes in government over recent years as evidence of instability. He claimed that despite long periods in power, the National Democratic Alliance has failed to ensure consistent governance or deliver long-term stability.

In a sharp personal remark, he suggested that internal dissent within the ruling coalition could threaten the Chief Minister’s position, hinting at underlying tensions among alliance partners. He also alleged that several leaders in the government were originally from other political parties, contributing to ideological inconsistency.

Citing leaders such as Vijay Kumar Sinha, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi argued that many members of the ruling camp had switched affiliations over time. He further invoked Lalu Prasad Yadav to suggest that political influences from past alliances continue to shape current leadership dynamics.

The remarks intensified the political debate in Bihar, highlighting sharp divisions between the opposition and the ruling coalition as the state navigates both financial and governance challenges.
