New Delhi: A new report highlights that artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data skills will be the most important abilities in India over the next three to five years. The study by NIIT Limited and YouGov shows strong demand across students, employees, and employers.
Recruiters say mid-career professionals face the biggest shortage, even as many companies try to hire them. Early-career workers feel more confident than students in key tech areas, while senior leaders report the highest confidence overall.
About 86 percent of employers believe they can find skilled talent, thanks to training programs and partnerships with colleges. Many companies have also increased learning budgets and offer internships.
The report adds that flexible work expectations differ, with more students preferring hybrid roles than companies currently provide.
