Kalaburagi

In a shocking incident, an ancient temple in Badadal village of Afzalpur taluk was vandalised by miscreants searching for hidden treasure. Idols of Lord Shiva, Nandi, and Lord Hanuman were damaged, and the premises were dug up. Police officials, including CPI Lakhan Masaguppi and PSI Somalinga Odeyar, inspected the site. Villagers said this was the third such attempt and urged strict action and restoration of the temple.
