Rama Navami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur in Vijayapura city under the leadership of Ram Navami Utsav Committee president Umesh Vandala.

A grand procession featuring a large idol of Lord Rama was taken out across the city. The procession began from the Ram Mandir, passed through Gandhi Circle, and culminated at Shivaji Circle. Devotees participated in large numbers, chanting “Jai Shri Ram” and carrying saffron flags and scarves, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Following the procession, special पूजा rituals were held at the Ambabhavani Temple. The procession, which commenced at around 4 pm, continued till 9 pm and concluded at Shivaji Circle.

A notable highlight of the event was the energetic participation of youth, who danced to DJ music throughout the procession. Additionally, a Bharatanatyam performance on a decorated vehicle attracted the attention of spectators.

Prominent personalities including Shivanand Bhuyyar, Raghu Annigeri, and several other social workers and citizens took part in the celebrations.
