Taipei
Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense detected one Chinese military sortie, nine naval vessels, and an official ship near its waters yesterday morning. The aircraft crossed the median line into Taiwan’s southwestern and southeastern ADIZ, prompting monitoring and responses by Taiwanese forces. On Sunday, 19 Chinese sorties and additional vessels were reported, with many entering Taiwan’s northern, central, southwestern, and eastern ADIZ. Taiwan maintains its own government and military, while China claims the island as part of its territory. These incursions continue to heighten tensions, reflecting the ongoing dispute over sovereignty and regional security in the Taiwan Strait.
