A tragic incident was reported from Aminagad village in Maski taluk of Raichur district, where a 15-year-old girl allegedly died due to complications following an injection administered by a suspected fake doctor. The deceased has been identified as Sindhu, a Class 9 student and daughter of a local village elder. According to sources, Sindhu had been unwell, following which her grandmother took her to a man identified as Uttam Kumar, who was reportedly treating villagers in Aminagad.
It is alleged that the accused administered an injection without proper diagnosis. Soon after, Sindhu developed severe side effects and her condition deteriorated rapidly. She was rushed for further medical treatment, but doctors later declared her brought dead. Sindhu’s parents, who work in Bengaluru, had left their three children in the care of their grandmother. On receiving information about her deteriorating condition, they rushed back to the village, only to be devastated by her death.
The girl’s father has lodged a complaint at Kavital police station. A case has been registered and police have launched a search for the accused, who is currently absconding.
Preliminary information suggests that the accused, believed to be from West Bengal, used to frequently visit the village and offer medical treatment to residents. Further details are expected after his arrest and interrogation.
