According to preliminary reports, the student was studying at a government high school in the district. Sources said that during the morning prayer session, the girl was sitting on the terrace of the school building instead of joining the assembly with other students.
After the assembly concluded, she allegedly jumped from the terrace of the building. The fall proved fatal, and the girl died on the spot. The sudden incident caused shock and panic among students, teachers and other staff members present on the school campus.
Soon after the incident, family members of the deceased reached the school and expressed strong anger and grief over the tragedy. They questioned the school authorities about how the girl was allowed to remain on the terrace during the assembly without any supervision. Relatives also asked why teachers did not notice her absence and call her to join the morning prayer along with the rest of the students.
The family has demanded a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the minor’s death. They insisted that the exact reason behind the incident must be identified and appropriate action should be taken if any negligence on the part of the school administration is found.
Following the incident, tension prevailed near the school premises as grieving relatives confronted school authorities and demanded answers regarding the safety measures and monitoring of students inside the campus.
Meanwhile, preliminary examination of CCTV footage from the school reportedly shows the girl sitting with her friends inside a classroom before the incident occurred. However, the exact reason behind the alleged suicide has not yet been determined.
Police from Bemalkhed Police Station rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. Officers conducted a preliminary inspection of the area and registered a case in connection with the matter. Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the sequence of events and the factors that may have led to the tragic death of the student.
