About 1,800 candidates registered, nearly 7,500 expected. IT, biotech, mechanical, automobile companies, including top IT firms, seek candidates with SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma, B.E., resumes, and documents
CHITRADURGA
A large district-level job fair will be held on February 1 at the Government Arts College grounds in Chitradurga, with more than 100 companies taking part. Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Akash has directed that all beneficiaries receiving unemployment allowance under the Yuvanidhi scheme must register and attend the fair.
He gave these instructions during a preparation meeting held at the Zilla Panchayat mini hall on Thursday. The job fair is being organised jointly by the district administration, Zilla Panchayat, and the Skill Development and Livelihood Department to help unemployed youth find work.
Around 1,800 candidates have already registered online, and officials expect nearly 7,500 job seekers to attend. Companies from fields such as IT, biotechnology, mechanical, and automobile sectors will participate. Well-known IT companies are also offering opportunities for engineering graduates. Candidates with SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma, B.E., and other qualifications can attend. Each applicant must bring five to six copies of their resume along with required documents.
Dr. Akash said over 5,000 Yuvanidhi beneficiaries and many technically trained youth should not miss this chance. Officers have been told to personally inform eligible candidates and ensure their participation.
Companies from nearby districts like Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Ballari, and Davangere have also been invited. Special counters will guide candidates to suitable employers, and separate rooms will be arranged for interviews.
To spread awareness, officials are promoting online registration through QR codes, local announcements, and educational institutions. Clear guidance desks will be set up at the venue to help candidates move smoothly through the process.
