Widespread criticism as to why people from Kerala are holding a darbar in Karnataka
BENGALURU
Kerala is playing politics over the GBA’s demolition of houses near Kogilu Layout to evict illegal residents. Kerala MPs and MLAs have visited the site where the GBA operation was carried out.
The Kerala Darbar is raging in Karnataka. Kerala is repeatedly poking its nose into Karnataka’s affairs. The Kerala CM is unnecessarily poking his nose into Karnataka’s affairs and doing politics. Karnataka’s decisions are being used to stir up political mud in the Kerala election calculations. That is why the pressure on the state government from Kerala-based leaders in Delhi to make alternative arrangements for the evictees of illegal houses in Kogilu Layout has increased. Although the state government’s eviction operation is legal, it has created a serious embarrassment for the Kerala Congress. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s entry has turned into a political mess, and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal has intervened. Venugopal, who has held talks with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, has suggested that an alternative arrangement be made on the basis of humanity. Although both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have said that this is illegal, there is outrage as to whether Venugopal’s order should be followed.
The Karnataka government provided money for the construction of houses for the Wayanad floods. In Kerala, the Karnataka government provided compensation for those who died in elephant attacks. Now Venugopal has suggested help for the illegal residents of Kogilu Layout in Bangalore in Karnataka. Meanwhile, Kerala MP AA Rahim had visited the place just on Saturday. On Sunday, former minister and MLA of the Kerala government, KT Jaleel visited the place.
Former Union Minister and JDS leader CM Ibrahim also visited the evacuation site, adding another political dimension to the issue. His presence coincided with the visit of the Kerala delegation.
The state Congress government is being used repeatedly for Kerala politics. It has been criticized that it is strange to play the humanity card and ask for help from the Karnataka government.
