There is increasing pressure to reduce the fares of the Namma Metro. Metro passengers are demanding that the fares be reduced. However, the Metro Fare Fixing Committee has given a shock to the passengers. It has decided not to reduce the fares. In addition, BMRCL has given an important update regarding the student pass.
Since the day our metro fares were increased, there have been increasing protests demanding a reduction. However, the Metro Fare Fixing Committee has replied to the metro passengers that there will be no reduction in fares. The metro passengers had asked the fare fixing committee for suggestions and questions. The committee, which responded to this, said that a fare reduction is not possible.
Passengers have also appealed to BMRCL and the fare fixing committee to issue monthly passes for the metro. They have also demanded that passes be given to students. Monthly passes are not being issued. Single passes are not being issued to students either. Educational institutions have approached them. They have said that they will issue group passes. The committee has also clarified that discounts will not be given to the disabled and senior citizens in the metro.
