In a move that has drawn widespread attention, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwar made an unannounced visit to the Kodimath in Harnahalli village of Arsikere taluk, Hassan district. Without informing local Congress leaders, the Home Minister arrived quietly, accompanied only by MLA and Home Committee Chairman K.M. Shivalingegowda and a few close associates.
During the visit, Parameshwar sought the blessings of Kodimath seer Sri Shivananda Shivayogi Rajendra Swamiji. Sources suggest that the meeting included a private discussion between the two, during which Parameshwar reportedly sought guidance about future developments.
The timing of this sudden visit has raised eyebrows in political circles. With an intense battle for the Chief Minister’s post currently underway, Parameshwar’s quiet trip to the influential math has sparked speculation about whether it is connected to the ongoing power struggle within the government.
Although no official statement has been released regarding the nature of the discussion, observers believe Parameshwar’s outreach to the math could be an effort to gain spiritual backing or to gauge support during this critical phase. His unexpected appearance has added yet another layer of intrigue to Karnataka’s evolving political landscape.
