Skater Jenita D’Souza Wins 3 gold medals at state championship

Jenita Velick D’Souza, a second-year student of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), has achieved remarkable success by winning three gold medals at the 41st Karnataka Roller Skating Championship, organized by the Karnataka Roller Skating Association in Bengaluru.

Representing the Karavali Roller Skating Club, Udupi, Jenita competed in the Speed Quad event in the above-18 category. Displaying exceptional skill and determination, she dominated the track to clinch all three gold medals, earning widespread praise for her outstanding performance.

With this achievement, Jenita has also secured a spot to represent Karnataka at the upcoming National Roller Skating Championship, marking a proud moment for both her institution and her hometown.

Jenita is the daughter of Agnello D’Souza and Jacinta Rose D’Souza from Udupi. She credits her success to her dedicated coaches, Manish Bangera and Kishore Kumar, whose guidance and training played a key role in shaping her athletic journey.

Speaking about her win, Jenita expressed immense gratitude to her family, coaches, and college for their unwavering support. Her victory has brought great pride to NMAMIT and the Karavali Roller Skating Club, inspiring many young skaters across the region.
