Rahul Gandhi claims Mahagathbandhan alliance will win if votes protected

Patna

Congress leader and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi declared that the Mahagathbandhan alliance would “100 per cent form the government” in Bihar if there is no vote theft during the ongoing Assembly elections. He made the statement while addressing rallies in Kishanganj and Purnia on Sunday.

The issue of “vote theft” became heated after VVPAT slips were found scattered near a college in Samastipur district. The Assistant Returning Officer of Sarairanjan constituency was suspended, and an FIR was filed by the Election Commission. A viral video showing BJP leader Rakesh Sinha voting both in Begusarai and earlier in New Delhi also added to the controversy.

Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of ignoring violations by ruling party members. “Genuine voters were stopped from voting while BJP leaders voted twice. The EC remains silent,” he said, demanding accountability.

Calling the Bihar election a “battle of ideologies,” Rahul said, “The RSS and BJP divide people, while we unite them. Modi wants youth to make reels for money; we want them educated and employed.”

He also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would eventually be “caught for vote theft,” adding that “Bihar’s people will choose unity over hatred.”

As the campaign for the second and final phase concluded, Rahul expressed confidence that if votes are counted fairly, the INDIA bloc will form the next Bihar government.
