Actress Rashmika Mandanna expressed heartfelt gratitude to her rumoured fiancé Vijay Deverakonda after he praised her latest Telugu film, The Girlfriend. Sharing her feelings on X, Rashmika wrote, “It IS something powerful. It IS something important. It IS going to be hard to digest – so well put! Thank you. It’s a slow burn that lasts long.”
Rashmika revealed that Vijay had supported the project since its early stages and said she hoped he would be proud of her work. Earlier, Vijay had shared the film’s trailer and lauded the cast and crew, saying, “They have made something powerful and important. What Rahul Ravindran has created with Rashmika, Dheekshith Shetty, and Anu Emmanuel will create an impact.”
His warm words and her grateful response have reignited buzz about their reported engagement. As per sources, the Dear Comrade co-stars got engaged in a private ceremony on October 3 at Vijay’s Hyderabad home, with their wedding reportedly set for February 2026. However, neither has officially confirmed the news.
The Girlfriend, written and directed by Rahul Ravindran, hit theatres on November 7. The film follows a woman who asks for a “small break” in her relationship, leading her partner to reveal his volatile side. Rashmika will next be seen in Cocktail 2.
