Minister K.H. Muniyappa launches boating facility

Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Minister and District In-charge Minister K.H. Muniyappa inaugurated a newly introduced boating facility at a small lake near the historic Devanahalli Fort. The initiative, launched by the local municipal body, aims to boost tourism and promote water-based recreational activities in the region.

Minister Muniyappa personally took part in the boat ride and expressed his happiness over the new attraction. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the boating facility has been developed to encourage water sports while ensuring safety for visitors. Necessary precautionary measures, including the provision of life jackets, have been arranged for all participants. He urged the public to enjoy and make use of the new boating opportunity responsibly.

The minister emphasized that such initiatives not only enhance the region’s tourism potential but also provide a refreshing recreational space for local residents and visitors.

The event was attended by Bayap President Shanthkumar, Municipal Council President Munikrishna, Vice-President Ravindra, Taluk Guarantee Scheme Chairman Jagannath, K.C. Manjunath, Tahsildar Anil, Municipal Chief Officer Shivamurthy, and several local representatives and officials.

With this initiative, the Devanahalli area—known for its historic significance—is set to gain renewed attention as a destination combining heritage and leisure experiences.
