Actor Raghav Juyal says working on the Netflix show The Ba**ds of Bollywood* gave him a sense of freedom as an artist. He plays the character Parvaiz in the bold new streaming series, and described the experience as “liberating.”
Raghav shared that the show allowed him to express emotions and thoughts he normally wouldn’t in real life. “As actors, we use our craft to speak up. Through this character, I got to say things I usually can’t. It felt very freeing,” he said.
He praised the show’s director, Aryan Khan—son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan—for creating a grounded and respectful work environment. Raghav said the culture in the Khan household felt warm and welcoming, calling Aryan “a fine man” raised with strong family values.
He recalled how Aryan’s family, including Gauri Khan, made cast and crew feel at home, even encouraging traditional gestures like touching elders’ feet. “Only family can teach such values. Friends just spoil you,” Raghav joked.
Known for his charm and honesty, Raghav believes the balance between family values and personal growth plays a big role in an actor’s journey. The show is now streaming on Netflix.
