The Conjuring: Last Rites, the latest installment in the popular Hollywood horror franchise, has enjoyed a strong box office run in India since its release alongside Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files. While it dominated the competition during its opening week, the film is now showing a noticeable slowdown as it enters the final stretch of its second week in theatres.
The horror drama opened with an impressive ₹17.5 crore on day one and quickly gained momentum, closing its first week with ₹67 crore. However, from the second Monday onward, collections began to dip sharply. On day 11, the film earned ₹1 crore, followed by ₹1.3 crore on day 12, thanks in part to discounted ticket pricing. By day 13, numbers fell further, with the movie collecting just ₹82 lakh.
So far, the film has amassed ₹78.47 crore at the Indian box office. Industry trackers suggest that the movie will likely end its theatrical run near the ₹80 crore mark, a solid achievement despite the decline in daily figures.
Meanwhile, the focus is already shifting to upcoming releases, especially Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated Jolly LLB 3, which is hitting theatres this Friday. The courtroom comedy is expected to give a fresh boost to the box office and create stiff competition for the slowing titles — The Conjuring: Last Rites, Baaghi 4, and The Bengal Files.
