Shah praised Modi for economic growth, welfare initiatives, and national development

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership and significant contributions to India’s development. Speaking at the inauguration and foundation-laying of several projects in Delhi on Modi’s birthday, Shah highlighted the Prime Minister’s efforts to strengthen national security, including border protection, surgical strikes, and the abrogation of Article 370, which ended special provisions for Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah also took a subtle dig at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, noting that while Gandhi had earlier criticised the BJP over the Ram Mandir issue, the temple is now complete, attracting devotees from across India and the world. He further praised Modi’s role in building the Kashi Vishwanath corridor and the initiative to renovate the Somnath temple with gold, emphasizing that longstanding issues were resolved efficiently under his leadership.

The Home Minister credited Modi with boosting India’s economy, helping the country rise from the 11th to the 4th largest economy globally, and predicted that India will become the third largest by 2027. He also acknowledged various welfare schemes aimed at improving lives, including housing, electricity, clean water, toilets, gas connections, and healthcare, claiming that around 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty.

Shah highlighted that the nation observes Modi’s birthday with a two-week-long ‘Seva Pakhwada’ from September 17 to October 2, focusing on service to the country and citizens’ welfare.

Concluding, Shah said Modi’s leadership has brought transformative changes to India, combining economic growth, cultural revival, and social development, making his birthday a celebration not only of the Prime Minister but also of the nation’s progress.
