Actor-director Basil Joseph, known for Falimy, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, and Minnal Murali, has stepped into production by launching his own banner, Basil Joseph Entertainment. Starting his journey as an assistant director in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Thira (2013), Basil later earned recognition for his acting in Varshangalkku Shesham, Maranamass, and Joji, along with directing hits like Kunjiramayanam, Godha, and Minnal Murali.
Announcing the new venture on Instagram, Basil unveiled the company logo and shared his excitement about turning producer. So, here we go again. The news quickly grabbed attention, with fans and industry colleagues extending wishes. Indian cricketer Sanju Samson also congratulated Basil on the milestone. Soon after, the actor-filmmaker revealed that his debut production will be in collaboration with Dr. Ananthu S, founder of Xylem Learning. Dr. Ananthu posted a video of their meeting, hinting at their first film together. The video ended with an announcement that the title teaser will be released soon, sparking curiosity among audiences.
Basil was last seen in Maranamass, directed by Sivaprasad, which featured Anishma Anilkumar, Babu Antony, Siju Sunny, Suresh Krishna, and Rajesh Madhavan. With this new move, Basil aims to back fresh and daring stories under his own banner.
