Helmet Safety Campaign

Bengaluru police launch helmet safety drive

In a bid to improve road safety and reduce traffic-related injuries, the Bengaluru Police recently conducted an awareness campaign targeting two-wheeler riders in multiple areas across the city. Officers focused on educating riders about the importance of wearing full-face helmets that carry the ISI certification, highlighting that compliance with traffic rules can save lives.

In Pulakeshinagar, traffic police personnel actively interacted with two-wheeler riders, ensuring that helmets were worn correctly and explaining the safety benefits of using certified gear. The campaign was supported by senior officials, including the city police commissioner, emphasizing that helmet use is a simple yet crucial step in preventing serious head injuries during accidents.

Simultaneously, in Banaswadi, police officials launched the #Awareness4You initiative, reinforcing the message that personal safety should be every rider’s top priority. Officers encouraged riders to follow traffic rules diligently and to educate peers under the “Each One Teach One” philosophy. The initiative also stressed that respecting traffic regulations is not only a legal obligation but a moral responsibility to protect one’s life and the lives of others on the road.

Authorities reported that such awareness drives are part of a sustained effort to reduce road accidents in Bengaluru and promote a culture of safety among commuters. The police urged citizens to cooperate with enforcement measures and prioritize personal safety at all times.
