Bengaluru police ensured peaceful Eid celebrations
Ahead of Eid Milad celebrations on Friday, the Bengaluru City Police conducted proactive inspections across key areas in the South-East division to ensure smooth, safe, and peaceful festivities. Officers and staff teams carried out route marches at designated locations, checking security arrangements, crowd management measures, and overall readiness for festival-day operations.
The exercise, led by DCP South-East BCP, aimed to identify potential traffic congestion points, crowding hotspots, and any other situations that could disrupt public order. Authorities coordinated with additional city police units to reinforce deployment plans, ensure adequate manpower, and verify the functionality of communication and monitoring systems in the field.
Police officials emphasized the importance of visible patrolling and pre-emptive checks to maintain public confidence and facilitate orderly conduct of religious celebrations. The route inspections included key mosques, public gathering spots, and busy commercial corridors, where authorities anticipated higher footfall during the festival.
Motorists and local residents were briefed about planned traffic diversions, parking arrangements, and temporary movement restrictions in some areas. Personnel were instructed to provide assistance to commuters, ensure emergency access, and manage crowds efficiently without causing unnecessary delays.
By the end of the day, authorities reported that the pre-festival inspections had been completed successfully, with all designated areas deemed ready for the celebration. The Bengaluru City Police reiterated that such proactive measures were part of ongoing efforts to uphold public safety and order during major events, ensuring that the city’s residents could participate in Eid Milad festivities without inconvenience or risk.
