The Tamil comedy entertainer Gatta Kusthi, featuring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, is officially getting a sequel. The first film, directed by Chella Ayyavu, hit theaters in 2022 and became a surprise box-office success. Made on a budget of just ₹5 crore, the film reportedly grossed more than ₹30 crore, proving its strong appeal among audiences.
Now, Gatta Kusthi 2 has been announced, with the lead pair returning to reprise their roles. Chella Ayyavu once again takes the director’s chair, while Vishnu Vishal and Ravi Teja continue as co-producers. In addition, Sean Roldan has been roped in to compose the music, raising expectations for some fresh and lively tunes.
The announcement promo gave fans a hint of what the sequel’s theme will be. Director Chella Ayyavu shared a thought-provoking line: If a couple breaks up, it’s difficult for one day.
