Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar hailed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as a true embodiment of impartiality, nationalism, service, and commitment. He stressed that conducting elections in any part of the country would be impossible without the presence of CRPF forces.

Highlighting its importance, he said that whenever states seek central forces, the first preference is always given to the CRPF. “The reason people of this country are able to sleep peacefully is because of the crucial role played by the CRPF,” he remarked.

The Minister commended the COBRA unit, a special wing of CRPF, for its remarkable contribution in curbing Naxalism. He asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Naxalism would be fully eradicated by March next year.

During his visit to the COBRA Jungle Warfare School near Belagavi on Tuesday, Bandi Sanjay Kumar inaugurated newly built facilities including a training and AV hall, mess, and barracks for 180 personnel.

Expressing his happiness, he said the new infrastructure, built at a cost of ₹36 crore, would give a fresh direction to the training system. The facilities include a modern auditorium, seminar hall, classrooms, audio-visual room, sand model room, IED model room, and other training-related amenities. He further observed that regions once affected by Naxalism are now witnessing development, thanks to the efforts of COBRA and other forces. He emphasised that the day is not far when Naxalism will be completely eradicated, with CRPF playing a central role in that mission.
