Minister Santosh Lad Announces Land for Monastery

Labour Minister Santosh S. Lad has announced that five acres of land will soon be purchased for constructing the new Mahasamsthan Math of the All-Karnataka Kuluva Samaj. Speaking at the 918th birth anniversary of Sharan Nulia Chandaya, organised by the Sandur Taluk Committee of the Akhil Karnataka Kuluva Mahasangh at Adarsha Kalyana Mantapa, he stressed the need for Gurus to guide the community’s development.

The government will also provide land and housing for the Korama, Koracha, and Korava communities in Sandur, along with a modern community hall for religious activities. Health insurance coverage has been extended to 15 lakh workers statewide, Lad said.

Jagadguru Basavamurthy Madara Channaiah Mahaswamy urged unity among the 101 Scheduled Castes for holistic development, appreciating the minister’s support for exploited communities.

As part of the celebrations, a portrait procession of Sharan Nulia Chandaya was held from Mini Vidhan Soudha to Adarsha Kalyana Mantapa, with women carrying full kumbhas and kalasas.

The event saw participation from prominent spiritual leaders including Prabhuswamiji of Viraktamath Sandur, Purushottamanandapuri Swamiji of Madurese, Renukananda Swamiji of Narayana Math Shivamogga, and Chinmaya Swamiji of Shatta Kulahalli Math. MP E. Tukaram, MLA Annapurna Tukaram, Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram, Leather Corporation President Mudrigi Nagaraj, former MLA Bhimanaik, Sangh state unit president M. Shivananda, taluk unit President K. Ramesh, and community leaders from Ballari and Vijayanagar also attended.
