Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar on Tuesday assured that the truth behind the Dharmasthala case will soon come to light. She said the government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ensure that the reputation of Dharmasthala remains untarnished.
Speaking to reporters at Vidhana Soudha, the minister recalled that the Home Minister had already provided a statement regarding the case. “The investigation is progressing, and the truth will emerge very soon,” she stated.
She further highlighted the importance of unity among communities. Referring to a gathering held on Shravan Monday, Hebbalkar said, “All Veerashaiva-Lingayat ministers, MLAs, and MLCs participated in the puja and later shared a meal together. It was not just a religious event but also a harmonious meeting.”
During the gathering, she added, discussions were not limited to caste census matters but also focused on the overall development of society. “Our efforts are aimed at ensuring peace, harmony, and progress. The government is committed to protecting both the cultural and social fabric of our state,” Hebbalkar said.
The minister expressed confidence that the SIT’s findings will soon provide clarity and put an end to speculation surrounding the Dharmasthala case.
