Minister of Health and Family Welfare and district Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said the government under chief minister Siddaramaiah wants to make administration more efficient by bridging the gap between people and officials.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Janata Darshana programme held at Belthangady.
The main purpose of holding the Janata Darshana programme is to assess the implementation of various government schemes. Normally, it is difficult to evaluate the implementation of many government programmes, but when we interact with people and listen to their grievances, it is possible to understand the ground reality. Through Janata Darshana programmes, officials of various departments will be able to solve issues related to government schemes  of the people. Officials at the taluk and district levels as well as the government will be able to take appropriate decisions regarding the people’s issues, the Minister said.
In most cases, the delay on the part of the government and officials concerned force people to run from pillar to post to get their work done. This in turn leads to an inordinate delay in finding solutions to the problems, he said.

Our aim is to make administration efficient wherein officials respond to people on time.. The bridge between the administration and people should be reduced. The new government under CM Siddaramaiah wants to ensure social justice for the people. The government wants to ensure transparency in administration by eradicating corruption, preventing laxity in government works and ensuring quality of works, the Minister said.

Facilities to 374 beneficiaries including title deeds under 94C and 94 CC, compensation for loss of cattle, pension, and compensation for damage to houses were distributed during the event.
