Karthi Wraps Up Shooting For Japan

Actor Karthi was last seen in the film Ponniyin Selvan and he is now working for his next film Japan which is helmed by Rajumurugan. The film is the 25th venture of the actor and is one of the important films in his acting career. The movie went on floors a couple of months back and it has now reached the ending stage. Reportedly, Karthi has completed shooting for his parts in the film and only patches of the film are left to complete wrap it up.
It is expected that the film will soon move into post production as it is aiming for a release this Diwali. Maamannan is based on real life incident story; director Mari Selvaraj explains
Director Mari Selvaraj revealed that the story of Maamannan is based on a real life incident that he witnessed after the release of Paraiyerum Perumal. He said that the entire story is based on the core subject of the issue faced in society.
The movie makers released the teaser of the film on Karthi’s birthday, and the film is a gangster flick. Japan stars Karthi, Anu Emmanuel, Vijay Milton and Sunil in lead roles. The music for the movie is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. It is said that Karthi will be playing a dual role in the movie. On the work front, Karthi is officially yet to sign up for new projects after Japan. However, according to reports the actor is in talks with director Nalan Kumarasamy for his next film.
