Government Asked For Details Of 6-Month Corporation Tender

The state government has come forward to review the work done and the grant given in BBMP during the previous government, and it has been directed to provide information about the tender conducted in the last six months and the mandate given. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself has given a note in this regard and has instructed to submit all the details of tenders invited by BBMP, allocated grant amount, money released and expenditure decided to be spent and the details of work done during the last six months of the previous government. The information submitted by the BBMP should be reviewed and verified by the Secretaries of the concerned departments and submitted to the Chief Minister’s Ministry. It is suggested that only works exceeding the estimated cost of .1 crore should be submitted. The Chief Minister’s note mentions that the complete details of the work undertaken, the estimated cost of the work, the date of administrative approval, the date of tender invitation and the current stage of the work should be submitted in a specific form. Deputy Chief Minister and Bangalore Urban Development Minister DK Sivakumar should give a list of all the works including road repair, footpath, lake development, construction of Rajkanal, undertaken by BBMP in the last five years. In addition, he has directed to submit photographs and videos before the start of the work and after the completion of the work. Heads of BBMP departments are involved in collecting documents from officials to submit information about works as instructed by Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
