A biker suffered serious injuries after his motorbike dashed against the road divider near Haleangady on national highway 66 on Friday March 25. He was rushed to a private hospital where he breathed his last without responding to treatment.
The victim of this accident was Ganesh Devadiga (25) from Chitrapu in Mulky. He was working as a secuirty guard in NITK Surathkal. He was going to report for duty in the morning when the unfortunate accident took away his life. Immediately after the accident, an auto rickshaw driver from Haleangady helped to shift the youth to the hospital with the help of a private ambulance.
It is learnt that due to the impact of the accident, the left handle bar of the bike snapped into two pieces and the divider display board was bent. It is learnt that Devadiga had sustained serious injuries to his head and he suffered profuse bleeding.
Ganesh, it is gathered, was a hard working youth who was the pillar of support for his parents and a younger brother. He had earlier worked in a petrol bunk and a catering firm. A few months back, he had bagged job as the security guard at NITK. His family, which has lost its only earning member, is devastated.
