BJP candidate Anil Chilikai, on Sunday got a star-studded boost for his election campaign. Sandalwood actor Bhuvan Ponnanna and actress Harshika Poonacha sought votes in favour of Anil Chillies in the twin cities of Gadag-Bettageri.
Actor Kichcha Sudeep, who held a roadshow on the day of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai’s nomination papers, had said that he would win with the cooperation of the people of Shiggaon constituency. With just a few days to go for the elections, star actors and actresses are also campaigning for BJP candidate.
The actor-actress went door-to-door campaigning for the voters, braving the heat of the summer heat. Speaking on the occasion, Harshika Poonacha said, I and Anil Chili have known each other for a long time. He is a good candidate and we have come to campaign voluntarily. There is a vision for the development of constituency. But, unfortunately, he lost by a narrow margin last time. This time, with the cooperation and support of the workers, we are campaigning for the victory of Anil Chilika irrespective of the sun, he said.
Actor Bhuvan Ponnanna said that the people of the constituency have more love for Anil Chillies than last time. He was very upset because he won and lost last time. However, he did not stop serving the people of the constituency and was engaged in continuous service. Â
Manjunath Mulgund, Vijayalakshmi Manvi, Gopal Gadada, Venkatesh Habiba, Swathi Akki and other party leaders and workers accompanied him during the campaign.
