Popular Tamil film actor Vishal runs his own production house named Vishal Film Factory, and he used to act in his production and produced various actors’ films too. Vishal has taken a loan from popular cinema financier Anbuchezhiyan of Gopuram Films to produce films on behalf of his company. In this way, the loan of Rs.21.29 lakh crore received by him was accepted and paid by Lyca Productions. In this situation, Lyca Productions filed a case in the Madras High Court seeking an injunction against the release of Vishal’s film ‘Veerame Vaagai Soodum’ for not repaying the loan the actor had received and breaching the guarantee.
When the case came for the hearing earlier, the Madras High Court ordered Vishal to deposit Rs.15 crore as a permanent deposit in the bank in the name of the Chief Registrar of the High Court and to submit the property details. Vishal’s side had appealed against this order of the single judge in a two-judge bench. The appeal came up for hearing before a division bench yesterday (April 5). In the latest verdict, the two-judge bench has confirmed and ruled on the order of the single judge that Vishal should pay Rs.15 crore to the court. The judge has also issued a ban to release films produced by Vishal Film Factory in theatres and OTT until the actor pays the Rs 15 crore at the court.
On the work front, Vishal was last seen on the big screen in Laththi, and next, he is part of the films Mark Antony’ and Thupparivalan 2.
