Must read

A demo was given on Kayaking-Canoeing in Benniganahalli Lake for children especially underprivileged girls. Benniganahalli Lake Trust and Karnataka Kayaking and Canoeing Association organized this event at Benniganahalli lake to encourage kayaking. More than 300 people were informed in the demo. Information was provided on how to kayak up and down the lake. Many people are usually interested in traditional sports like cricket or football. But these types of sports are more beneficial for the underprivileged children. Because the lakes are easily accessible to poor children, said Balaji Raghotham Bali, a lake activist and one of the lake’s trustees. This is the second demo going on in Bangalore Lake. Earlier the first demo was given at Ele Mallappa Shetty Lake in KR Puram. Hundreds of people participated in this demo.
Most of the people were not aware about the program held at Benniganahalli lake. Sunday has received a good response. Due to lack of information, disadvantaged girls lack knowledge about this sport. He said that several NGOs are ready to provide funds for programs to educate and train children about such sports.
