In July 2021, Tollywood actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Bollywood debut movie, a remake of Prabhas’ blockbuster Chatrapathi, was launched grandly. Star director VV Vinayak helmed the project and now the movie has made the headlines again.
The makers of the flick have finally announced that the movie will be hitting screens globally on May 12, 2023. The makers stuck to the original title, Chatrapathi and also released the first look poster.
In this first-look poster, Sreenivas goes shirtless and looks like a beast, flaunting his chiselled physique. He is seen standing in the water with a copper bowl in one hand, and there are injuries on his back. He wears sacred threads around his neck and on his arm. The posture and the ferocious clouds indicate the aggression of Sreenivas’ character.
Nushrratt Bharuccha is the female lead in this movie, with Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammad Monajir, Auroshika Dey, Vedika, Jason and others playing key roles. The film has already completed its production works and the post-production works are currently underway.
Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad who penned the original script is also the writer of this remake. Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios is producing the project, while Dhaval Jayantilal Gada and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada of Pen Marudhar Cine Entertainment will distribute the movie worldwide. They made the film on a massive scale without compromising on any budget. Tanishk Bagchi is the music composer of the movie.
