Veteran director Om Prakash Rao, who delivered several blockbusters including Huchcha, is ready to helm his 50th film titled Guerrilla War. The film will feature Real Star Upendra in the lead role. To mark the actor’s birthday on September 18, the makers unveiled a special poster as a tribute.
This film marks the second collaboration between Upendra and Om Prakash Rao after their upcoming project Trishoolam. Guerrilla War is produced by Om Prakash Rao and R. Vasudeva Reddy under the NS Rao Cine Creations banner, with Baby Inchar presenting. Shooting is expected to begin soon.
The story is written by Denisa Prakash, while Om Prakash Rao has taken charge of the screenplay and direction. Music maestro Hamsalekha will compose and pen the songs. The technical crew includes Ravi Kumar handling cinematography, Lakshman Reddy in charge of editing, and stunt choreography by Ravi Varma. Dialogues are written by Deepu P.R.
Nimika Ratnakar will play the female lead opposite Upendra. The supporting cast features Rangayana Raghu, Swastik Shankar, Achyuth Rao, Bhaskar Shetty, Aaradhya, and Shwetha Veeresh.
Guerrilla War is not a historical drama but a film that mirrors current social issues through the theme of guerrilla warfare, where a small group challenges a larger enemy using unconventional tactics. Upendra will be seen as a soldier who goes beyond guarding borders, taking on problems that affect society. Director Om Prakash Rao revealed that the movie will be made on a lavish scale with advanced technology and high production values.
