Bringing down mortality of infant and mother, a top priority of Government: SA Ramdas

As part of International  Women’s Day, the Women’s wing of KR constituency organized a health camp at Tulasidas Hospital   under the National Womens’ Health Plan and the State Government’s Womens’ Nutritious  Karnataka Scheme for women working in the unorganized sector .

MLA SA Ramadas distributed health kits under Prime Minister Jan Aushadi project. 

Inaugurating the health camp, MLA Ramdas said, the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has  announced the opening of about 300 women’s wellness centers across the state in the present  budget. The scheme has been named as Nutritious Karnataka which aims to reduce infant and mother mortality.

Our government has come up with a special plan to protect the health of our women. Today, we are working to provide health checkups and medicines for the women who perform duties in the unorganized sector through   specialists and required medicines will be distributed to the needy under Prime Ministers Jan Aushadi project.  The Karnataka Budget has aimed to reduce the mortality rate within 2030.  This project of bringing down the mortality rate of infant and mother will also be brought down  in  Krishnaraja constituency as well as Mysuru. Prime Minister had interacted with Babitha Rao, working in Mysuru on Jan Aushadi day.  On this occasion, the Prime Minsiter had given a message that Jan Aushadi project must reach the poor people in the society and concerned officials have to give a priority for this work and also to provide 10 sanitary napkins at a cost of Rs 10 for poor women in the interest of their health.  In this context, we will be delivering Jan Aushadi to poor people, he said.

 Taluk Health Officer Dr Rajeshwari, Tulasidas, Officer of Hospital Dr Srinath, KR Mahila Morcha President Annapoorna, General Secretary Bhagyalakshmi, Vice President Roopa, Jayanthi, Parveen, KR BJP President Vadivelu, General Secretary Om Srinivas, Nagendra Kumar, Leaders Noor Fathima, Renuka Jeevaraksha, Lokesh of Surgicals, Women specialist doctors were present.
