Haryana has made significant progress in implementing the AgriStack programme, with nearly 96 percent of villages geo-referenced and more than 11.58 lakh farmers enrolled in the digital agricultural ecosystem.

The initiative is aimed at transforming agricultural governance through technology by creating a comprehensive digital database that integrates land records, crop information, and farmer details on a unified platform.

The achievements were reviewed during a steering committee meeting chaired by Anurag Rastogi on Thursday. Officials informed the committee that approximately 1.75 crore agricultural plots have already been geo-referenced across the state. In addition, 8.32 lakh farmer identity documents have been generated, marking substantial progress toward building a verified digital farmer registry.

According to officials, 6,808 out of Haryana’s 7,100 villages have been successfully geo-referenced, translating to a coverage rate of 95.89 percent. The remaining villages are expected to be brought under the programme within the next two months. The geo-referencing exercise is considered a critical step toward ensuring accurate land records and enabling efficient agricultural planning.

During the meeting, Rastogi highlighted the transformative potential of the AgriStack initiative. He stated that the programme is laying the foundation for a transparent, technology-driven agricultural administration by bringing together farmer records, ownership details, and crop-related information in a single digital framework. Once fully operational, the platform is expected to facilitate faster delivery of government benefits, eliminate duplication, and improve the targeting of welfare schemes.

Sumita Misra informed the committee that farmer enrolment is being accelerated through a network of common service centres operating across the state. With these centres actively conducting registrations, authorities expect the pace of enrolment to increase considerably in the coming weeks.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to expedite the disposal of pending verification cases and ensure complete saturation of the farmer registry. He emphasized the importance of linking all agricultural land parcels with existing and newly generated farmer identity documents through a mission-mode approach. He also instructed district administrations to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and conduct regular review meetings to ensure timely achievement of targets.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the Kharif 2026 Digital Crop Survey, which is scheduled to begin in August. The survey will cover all geo-referenced agricultural plots across 23 districts of the state. Around 6,500 surveyors are expected to participate in the large-scale exercise, which aims to provide accurate and real-time information on crop cultivation patterns.

Officials further revealed that nearly 1.75 crore farmer records available in the Revenue Department database will be utilised to expand the farmer registry. This effort will ensure the inclusion of farmers who are currently outside the ambit of the PM-KISAN scheme, thereby creating a more comprehensive agricultural database.
