Brahmavar
A one-and-a-half-year-old boy, Daksh, died in a tragic accident at Heranje in Brahmavar after a coconut fell from a tall tree and struck his head while he was being carried by his mother. The child suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to KMC Hospital Manipal, where he underwent emergency surgery but could not survive due to critical brain trauma. The incident occurred while his mother was accompanying her elder daughter to catch the school bus. The coconut reportedly fell from a tree over 40 feet high near their home. Daksh’s family, including his parents and six-year-old sister, have been left devastated. The funeral saw a large turnout of relatives and locals, reflecting the shock and grief in the community over the sudden and tragic loss.
